Radiation Medicine Associates (RMA) is a group of radiation oncologists dedicated to providing the best possible care for all cancer patients. We achieve this by collaborating with specialists across all fields of oncology to develop multidisciplinary treatment plans optimized for each individual patient. We also provide the most advanced tools available for radiation therapy, including Proton Beam Therapy, CyberKnife Radiotherapy, Brachytherapy, IMRT, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery.

Radiation therapy — also called radiotherapy — uses various forms of radiation to safely and effectively treat cancer and other diseases. It works by damaging the DNA within cancer cells, limiting their ability to reproduce. As these damaged cells die, the body naturally eliminates them. While healthy cells are also affected by radiation, they have the ability to repair themselves in ways that cancer cells cannot. Your radiation oncologist will develop a personalized plan to deliver radiation precisely to the tumor site while shielding as much surrounding healthy tissue as possible.
